It is an acute state of intense psychological sadness and suffering experienced after the tragic loss of a loved one or some priceless possession.

Aconitum nap. (One dose only): Grief on account of a sudden loss of a friend or a relative. Extreme restlessness and fear of death.

Arnica mont. (One dose only): Shock on account of sudden death of a loved one. Sits with head between the knees and desires not to be spoken to and to be left alone.

Ignatia amara (One dose only): Consequences of suppression of grief. Hysterical mood. Laughing at one time, sighing or crying at another time. She is relieved by passing urine or eating something.

Staphysagria (One dose only): Chronic grief due to indignation, humiliation and insults.
