Homeopathic Medicine for Ulcers
A lesion on the surface of the skin or on a mucous surface, caused by superficial loss of tissue, usually with inflammation.
Anthracinum (Thrice a day): Malignant ulcers with terrible burning. Inflammation of the connective tissue where a purulent focus exists.
Argentum nit. (Thrice a day): Gastric ulcers.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Painful burning ulcers with hard margins. Ulceration of heels.
Asterias rub. (Thrice a day): Chronic ulcers, ulcers with sensitive edges and fetid discharges.
Calendula off. (Thrice a day): Use locally for all kinds of ulcers and wounds. A most remarkable healing agent. Promotes healthy granulations and rapid healing. Checks bleeding and makes the acrid discharge healthy and free. Use 30 potency orally and mother tincture 50 drops to an ounce of water, locally. Ulcers must be kept clean.
Carbolicum acidum 200 (One dose daily) Cephalandra Q (Twice a day): Old ulcers in diabetic patients.
Cinnamomum (Thrice a day): Oil of cinnamon in aqueous solution is the best disinfectant – 5 drops in a litre of water as a douche and for ulcers of the vagina or other infections and whenever a germicide and disinfectant is needed.
Echinacea Q: 10 drops in water locally as a cleaning, antiseptic wash.
Graphites (One dose daily): A useful remedy for duodenal ulcers.
Gernanium Q (Thrice a day): Lessens vomiting in gastric ulcers. It is also useful for cure of gastric ulcers when given in half-dram doses, thrice daily.
Gunpowder 3x (Thrice a day): It should be used when there is septic suppuration. Protects wound infection.
Hamamelis (Thrice a day): Varicose ulcers with great sensitiveness of parts. Use locally in Q and internally, 12x potency.
Hepar Sulphuris lx-3x (Thrice a day), 200 (One dose daily): A very good remedy for healing ulcers where there is tendency to suppuration. Higher potencies like 200 abort suppuration and lower potencies lx-3x promote it.
Hydrocotyle (Thrice a day): Ulcers of the womb.
Mercurius sol. (Thrice a day): Ulcers with thin, purulent discharge which is fetid.
Mezereum (Thrice a day): Sensitive and easily bleeding ulcers. Pains at night. Tendency to pus formation or pus already formed under the scab.
Nitricum acidum (Thrice a day): Ulcers that bleed when touched. Stinging pains. Sensation of a splinter, hard elevated irregular edges and growth of fungus on ulcers. Syphilitic ulcers.
Paeonia off. 3c (Thrice a day): Ulcers caused by wearing shoes of shorter size or misfitted shoes. Chronic ulcers on the lower parts of the body, leg, foot, toe, rectum, below coccyx, around sacrum and also breast. Burning.
Phosphorus (One dose daily): Punched out ulcers. Ulcers that bleed easily. Ulcers surrounded by smaller ulcers. Healed ulcers break up again and again, and show no tendency to heal.
Sanicula aqua (Thrice a day): Ulcers between the toes.
Silicea (Twice a day): Simple ulceration and perforating ulcers which do not heal properly and quickly, and where granulations are taking time. Useful in ulcers of lungs and breasts.
Sannum met. (Thrice a day): Ulceration of the ring hole in the lobe of the ear.
Sulphur (One dose daily): Ulcers that itch very much and where scratching causes burning.
Symphytum off. 1M (One dose only): For gastric and duodenal ulcers. It stimulates the growth of epithelium on the ulcerated surfaces.
