Homeopathic Medicine for Labor Pains
The following symptoms will differentiate true labour pains and false labour pains:

Aconitum nap. (Thrice a day), Sulphur (One dose daily): When lochia is suppressed or is insufficient.
Agaricus mus. (Thrice a day): This remedy covers most of the complaints after delivery of a baby.
Antimonium tart. (Thrice a day): The new born cannot breathe or there is difficulty in breathing although there are pulsating movements of the cord. Two small globules dry on the tongue remove the problem.
Arnica mont. (Four times a day): Soothes muscles of the vagina and uterus, and gives great sense of relief and comfort after delivery. The child is born after some difficulty and seems to be doing well. But in a few days, it is reported to be not quite right. It may be that an arm or a leg is rather limp and is not used properly. The face seems somewhat unsymmetrical or there is some difficulty in sucking. There has been some hemorrhage within the skull. Arnica mont. will absorb the blood and induce maximum recovery of the damaged nerve tissue.
Belladonna (Thrice a day): Retention of placenta with profuse hot blood.
Cantharis (Thrice a day): Retention of placenta with painful urination.
Carbo veg. (Thrice a day), Natrium mur. (Thrice a day), Sepia (Thrice a day): Falling of hair after delivery.
Caulophyllum (Thrice a day): Extraordinary rigidity of the os. Spasmodic and severe pains which fly in all directions. Shivering without progress, false pains. Revives labour pains and furthers progress of labour. In 200 potency, two doses will induce child birth.
Causticum (Thrice a day): Retention of urine after delivery. Absence or weakness of uterine contractions in labour.
Cimicifuga (Twice a day): Pain shoots across the abdomen and doubles the patient. It may be given 3 to 4 months before the expected day of delivery. It ensures safe and virtually painless delivery. It should be discontinued a week before delivery. It checks labour pains and ensures a living birth. It is very helpful when a woman habitually gives birth to dead babies.
Cinnamomum Q (Thrice a day) 10-20 drops in ┬╜ cup of water: Hemorrhage occurring after child birth – postpartum hemorrhage.
Hamamelis (Thrice a day): Hemorrhoids after confinement. Anus feels sore and raw. Black, dark and profuse blood in bleeding piles.
Kalium carb. (Thrice a day): One of the best remedies after labour and following weakness or hemorrhage which occurs after about a week of the delivery.
Kalium phos. 6x (Four times a day): Delayed labour. Labor pains are feeble and ineffectual.
Lilium tig. (Thrice a day), Lycopodium (Thrice a day): Constipation after delivering a child.
Pituitrinum lx: If os is fully dilated but the labour does not take place, give a dose every 15 minutes. It hastens child birth. Use it for checking bleeding after delivery as it contracts the blood vessels.
Podophyllum (Thrice a day): Pendulus abdomen after confinement.
Psorinum (Twice a day): Patient has never felt well after delivery of the baby.
Pulsatilla nig. 1M: Insufficient labour pains. Hemorrhage after delivery. Pains after delayed; strenuous delivery. It corrects the position of the child in the womb. Avoids false labour pains and ensures safe delivery in due time. Three doses only at the time of delivery at an interval of 15 minutes each before the membranes are ruptured. It avoids many complaints of labour.
Staphysagria (Thrice a day): For any difficulty when the child is born after a cesarean section.
Sulphur 6 (One dose daily) morning, Calcarea. phos. 6x (One dose daily) evening: If a woman habitually gives birth to dead babies or when the babies die soon after birth, give one dose each of Sulphur 6 in the morning and Calcarea phos. 6x in the evening during the last two months of pregnancy.
Trillium pend. (Thrice a day): Dribbling of urine after labour.
Viburnum op. (Thrice a day): Great uterine tonic. Cures false labour pains which may occur prematurely a week or a month before the actual date of delivery. Removes uterine displacement.
Viscum alb. (Thrice a day): For retention of placenta.
