NOTE 2: In serious cases, a change of bone marrow is suggested. The procedure involves replacing the affected person’s diseased bone marrow with healthy marrow from a compatible donor. Extracting healthy marrow involves making tiny incisions in the hip area which can leave the donor in a minor discomfort for a short time.
