Homeopathic Medicine for Lice

Lycopodium 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: It is a near specific remedy for the lice on the skin. 1 dose a week.

Psorinum 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: For lice on hair of head, 1 dose a week.

Staphysagria (Thrice a day): Lice on pubic hair.

NOTE: Lice can also be picked by hand in strong light. A magnifying glass can be used if needed. Lice thus picked should be destroyed by burning. The entire head should be checked. A person suffering from this disease should not share his comb, head gear or clothes with a healthy person. His clothes should be washed separately with hot water and detergent powder.

An external lotion prepared with 50 drops of Camphora MT in 30 ml mustard oil kills 90% of the lice with one application. The lotion should be applied on the hair rubbing gently. The hair should be combed about 10 minutes after placing a cloth beneath and watch dead or half dead lice and nits (eggs) falling on it. These should be destroyed by burning. This lotion should not be allowed to fall into the eyes. Then wash with soap and water after 30 minutes. Another application, if needed, should be done after a week.
