Homeopathic Medicine for Mouth Diseases
Aconitum nap. (Thrice a day), Helleborus (Thrice a day), Stramonium (Thrice a day): Chewing motion of the mouth.
Alnus Q (Twice a day) 5 drops in ┬╜ cup of water: Ulcerated mucous membranes of mouth and throat.
Ammonium carb. (Thrice a day): Corners of mouth sore, cracked and bum. Dryness of the mouth and throat.
Antimonium crud. (Thrice a day), Cundurango (Thrice a day), Psorinum (Thrice a day), Natrium mur. (Thrice a day), Hydrastis (Thrice a day), Hepar Sulphuris (Thrice a day): Blisters in the mouth or cracks near the comer of the mouth and lips as per indication of the remedy. Psorinum is indicated, if the cracks at the comers of the mouth are more chronic. In Natrium mur., the sores on the lips and around the mouth are cold.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Mouth feels dry with burning ulcers inside, which are better by warm mouthwashes.
Arum triph. (Thrice a day): Raw feeling at the roof of the mouth and palate. Comers of the mouth are sore and cracked.
Baptisia (Thrice a day): Ulcers in the mouth with a foul smell. The patient is sleepy and debilitated. Useful for children. Mercurius sol. is useful for adults in similar conditions.
Baryta mur. (Thrice a day): Children go about with their mouth open and looking stupid.
Borax 3x (Thrice a day): White fungus-like growths in the mouth. Mouth hot and tender. Blisters pain on touch and eating. Painful gum boils.
Bryonia alba (Thrice a day): Mucous membranes of the mouth are dry. Lips are parched and there is thirst for large quantities of water at long intervals.
Causticum (Thrice a day): Bites inside the cheeks when chewing.
Echinacea Q: Comers of mouth and lips are cracked. Sores on tongue (cankers). Apply locally and give 5 drops a dose orally three times a day.
Helianthus (Thrice a day): Dry mouth.
Kalium chlor. (Thrice a day): Ulcers in the mouth and on the tongue. Saliva ropy.
Mercurius sol. (Thrice a day): Offensive odor from the mouth, fills the whole room. Sweetish metallic taste with excessive saliva. Saliva dribbles from the mouth while speaking. Inflammation of the mouth and throat.
Natrium mur. (Thrice a day): Dryness of the mouth with craving for salty foods.
Natrium phos. 6x, Echinacea Q: Aphthous stomatitis. Inflammation of mouth with tiny ulcers on the mucus membrane of the mouth. Round vesicles on cheeks, lips and tongue.
Natrium sulph. (Thrice a day): Small ulcers extremely sensitive, better by holding cold fluid in the mouth.
Nitricum acidum (Thrice a day): Oral ulcers are accompanied by sharp splinter like pains. Acrid and fetid salivation. Eruptions around mouth, lips and tongue (cankers).
Opium (Thrice a day): Mouth remains open during sleep.
Rheum (Thrice a day): Mouth covered with offensive mucus after sleeping.
Rhus tox. (Thrice a day): Jaws crack when chewing.
Tarentula cub. (Thrice a day), Graphites (Twice a day): Mouth cracked at comers.
Xanthoxylum (Thrice a day): Mouth feels dry. It secretes a mucoid secretion from the mouth and stimulates secretion of all glands with ducts opening in the mouth.
NOTE 1: Rashes in the mouth may indicate stomatitis, measles or scarlet fever.
NOTE 2: Excessive moisture in the mouth maybe due to stomatitis, irritation of the pneumogastric nerve, indigestion of irritating drugs or foods, nervous disorders, teething, seeing appetizing foods and smelling pleasant odors.
