Homeopathic Medicine for Perspiration – Sweat
The symptoms of perspiration prove very useful for the selection of a remedy.
Aceticum acidum (Thrice a day): Sweat drenches the patient in hectic fever but there is no thirst.
Acidum fluor. (Thrice a day): Itching on account of sweats. Profuse, sour and offensive perspiration.
Alumina (Thrice a day): The patient does not sweat at all. Such patients are always constipated and their stools are hard, dry and knotted; the patient has to strain to expel them.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Cold perspiration.
Belladonna (Thrice a day): Sweating on the covered parts only.
Bromium (Thrice a day): Perspiration on palms and on least exertion.
Bryonia alba (Thrice a day), Selenium met. (Thrice a day): For continued and profuse sweats. Nothing answers so well in sweating of phthisis.
Caladium seg. (Thrice a day): Sweet perspiration which attracts flies.
Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Cold, pale and fleshy patients with excessive general sweats, especially on the head, hands and feet. Perspiration on the head is so much that it wets the pillow at night.
Calcarea phos. 6x (Four times a day): Sweat on the hands feels cold. Sweaty head at night.
Calotropis Q (Thrice a day) 10 drops in ½ cup of water: Increases the circulation of the skin. Has a powerful effect in producing perspiration.
Carbo veg. (Thrice a day): Profuse sweat on the forehead. Patient has to wipe it off with the hand.
Chelidonium (Thrice a day): Sweat stains the clothes yellow.
China off. (Thrice a day): Perspiration during sleep or on being covered.
Colchicum autum. (Thrice a day): Profuse sweat accompanied with gastric ailments. Bad effects from suppressed sweats.
Colocynthis (Thrice a day): Perspiration smells like urine.
Conium mac. (Thrice a day): Sweating of head, hands, palms, etc. as soon as one sleeps or even when closing the eyes.
Dulcamara (Thrice a day): Palms wet with perspiration. It generally happens in thyroid disease.
Ferrum phos. (Thrice a day): Sweating in acute infectious diseases.
Hepar Sulphuris (Thrice a day): Cold and foul foot sweats.
Hydrocotyle (Thrice a day): Perspiration copious.
Iodium (Thrice a day): Perspiration on little exertion on account of weakness.
Lachesis (Twice a day): Perspiration is absent.
Ledum pal. (Thrice a day): Warm sweat on hands and feet, increases with the heat of the bed. It is worse on waking.
Lycopodium (Thrice a day): Sweat smells like the smell of onions, and it disappears on movement.
Magnesium mur. (Thrice a day): For foot sweat.
Natrium carb. (Thrice a day): Inclination to perspire easily.
Natrium mur. (Thrice a day): Palms hot and always wet with perspiration.
Natrium mur. (Thrice a day), Chamomilla (Thrice a day): Perspiration while eating. This condition is called gustatory sweating and mostly occurs in diabetes. Craving for salt.
Nitricum acidum (Thrice a day): Sweat all over the body after a meal.
Petroleum (Thrice a day), Sulphur (Thrice a day), Silicea (Thrice a day), Mercurius sol. (Thrice a day), Staphysagria (Thrice a day): Fetid perspiration.
Pilocarpus (Thrice a day), Hydrocotyle (Thrice a day): Very copious perspiration. Pilocarpus has drops of perspiration all over the body.
Psorinum 200 (One dose only): There is profuse sweating after the cure of diseases. Sweating feels pleasant.
Pulsatilla nig. (Thrice a day): Sweating on one side of the face only.
Rhus tox. (Thrice a day), Silicea (Thrice a day): Offensive sweat of armpits and feet as indicated with other symptoms. Perspiration on palms and soles.
Rhus g. (Thrice a day), China off. (Thrice a day): Profuse sweating due to mental or physical weakness.
Sepia (Twice a day): Excessive and fetid sweating on feet, groins and armpits is cured by use of this remedy.
Salvia off. Q (Thrice a day): Controls excessive sweating when circulation of blood is weak. It exerts a tonic influence on the skin. A single dose of 20 drops in a little water shows results after 2 hours and action persists for about 6 days.
Silicea (Thrice a day): Offensive sweat on icy cold feet. The foot feels sore. Profuse sweat on the head, extending to the neck. Offensive sweats in armpits.
Strychninum phos. 3x (Thrice a day): Hands and axillae are covered with sticky, fetid sweat.
Sulphur (Twice a day): Smell of garlic-like sweat in the armpits. Hands hot and sweaty.
Thuja occ. 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: Sweat smells like honey and is only on the uncovered parts except face.
Tuberculinum 200 (One dose only): Profuse sweating in tuberculosis of lungs, with loss of weight. Stains yellow. Sweating of palms.
Veratrum alb. (Thrice a day): Cold perspiration specially on the forehead in all diseases.
