Homeopathic Medicine for Phlegm – Mucus
Causticum (Thrice a day): Cough with mucus lodged under the sternum, which is difficult to dislodge and expel.
Corallium rub. (Thrice a day): Post-nasal catarrh. Profuse secretion of mucus dropping through the posterior nares.
Graphites (One dose daily): Phlegm with extreme sensibility to strong smells. There are crusts inside the nostrils and cracks on the nose. It is painful to blow the nose.
Hydrastis (Thrice a day): Mucus is yellow-green, thin and excoriating. It accompanies coryza when the nose runs constantly. Thick mucus falls at the back of the nose.
Kalium bich. (Thrice a day): Mucus is greenish-yellow and stringy which can be drawn into long strings or is ball-like and sticks on the tongue. It falls at the back of the nose, into the throat.
Kalium mur. (Thrice a day): Mucus that occurs in the second stage of cold, is thick and white, and falls from the posterior nares in the throat.
Natrium carb. (Thrice a day): Catarrh of the posterior nares. Hawking much mucus from the throat, worse slightest draught.
Natrium mur. (Thrice a day): Mucus like the white of an egg or transparent and is very profuse. There may be loss of smell and taste.
Phytolacca dec. (Thrice a day): Flow of mucus from one nostril and from the posterior nares.
Pulsatilla nig. (Thrice a day): Yellow mucus with a stuffed nose and with pain above the eyes or in the right cheek bone. The patient has a weeping tendency.
