RASH-DIAPER
Benzoicum acidum (Thrice a day): Diaper rash with urine smelling like ammonia.
Medorrhinum (One dose daily): Diffuse redness all over the diaper area or glowing and irritable red rash about the anus of the babies.
Sulphur (One dose daily): Diaper rash worse after bathing, better in open air. It also cures rash caused by use of certain drugs such as bromide or iodine. It is also useful for red papular eruptions on the chin and anterior chest area of children seen during teething due to excessive saliva pouring out of the mouth and coming in contact with the skin.
NOTE: The best way to prevent diaper rash is to change the diaper as soon it becomes wet. Keeping the skin dry is very useful. On the dry skin, apply lavender oil. Use of talcum powder should be avoided as it clogs the skin pores and prevents healing.
