Homeopathic Medicine for Scalp Diseases
Aethusa cyn. (Thrice a day): Sensation of hair being pulled from the scalp.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Scalp itches intolerably and is covered by dry scales. It is very sensitive and even brushing of the hair is not tolerated.
Berberis vulg. (Thrice a day): Sensation of a tight cap pressing upon the whole scalp.
Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Eczema capitis or milk crusts on the scalp of children.
Colocynthis (Thrice a day): Pain and soreness of scalp better by heat and pressure.
Dulcamara (Thrice a day): Ringworm of the scalp.
Natrium sulph. (Thrice a day): Scalp is sensitive to combing of hair. The patient does not want to comb hair.
Phytolacca dec. (Thrice a day): Rheumatism of the scalp. Pain comes every time it rains. Scaly eruptions on the scalp.
Psorinum 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: Dry hair and eruptions oozing a fetid matter. Hair matted.
Sulphur (One dose daily): Scalp dry. Itching. Scratching causes burning.
Vinca minor (Thrice a day): Eczema of scalp with great itching and desire for scratching. Stops oozing of moisture and matting of hair together.
NOTE: Along with the oral remedies, use of Chrysarobinum ointment, applied gently on the head proves useful and cuts short the treatment. It should not be rubbed hard. Discontinue its use if it causes inflammation.
