Homeopathic Medicine for Schizophrenia (Mind) – Insanity
A common type of mental disorder characterized by a disorder in perception, content of thought, thought processes (hallucinations and delusions), and extensive withdrawal of the individual’s interest from other people and the outside world. It may be noticed that the disease is caused by the hyperactivity of some of the brain chemical pathways and failure of cells to communicate properly with each other, severely impairing a person’s ability to think.
Aethusa cyn. (Thrice a day): Sees cats and dogs, and tries to jump out of the window to escape their bite.
Ailanthus g. (Thrice a day): Feels as if rats or insects are crawling over his body.
Alumina (Thrice a day): Confused. He sees something new and thinks he has already seen it. He says something and thinks he has already said it. Never smiles or laughs.
Anacardium ori. (Thrice a day): The patient has two wills – good and evil. Cannot take decisions. Fears he is being pursued by someone, enemies or thieves. Fears everything and everybody. Hears voices calling his name. Does not like to work and lacks self-confidence. Suspicious.
Argentum nit. (Thrice a day): Fearful and nervous. Impulses to jump out of the window. Brain fag with general debility and trembling. Vertigo. Fear of death. Sensation of strangulation in the throat.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Fears that thieves have entered his house. Searches them or hides himself due to their fear. Feels happy at others misfortune.
Aurum met. 200 (One dose daily): Feeling of self-condemnation and utter worthlessness. Disgusted of life. Hypertension. Talks of suicide but is afraid of death. Constant questioning without waiting for a reply.
Belladonna (Thrice a day): Eyes are bloodshot. Attacks others in self-defence or if somebody acts against his will.
Bryonia alba (Thrice a day): Thinks always, talks always and dreams always about business.
Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Unable to acquire knowledge because of non-development of the brain. Obstinate. Forgetful and confused. Talks to himself or appears to be talking to a person who is not there. Sad and full of worries.
Camphora (Thrice a day): Fears darkness and strangers. Thinks of ghosts and fears them.
Cannabis ind. (Thrice a day): Imagines he is hearing a love song, closes his eyes and is lost in the ideas of love. Thinks he has not taken any food for several days, though he has taken it only a few minutes ago. Imagines he is enjoying the luxuries of paradise.
Cannabis sat. (Thrice a day): Hears somebody superior commanding him to commit suicide. Tries to obey the superhuman orders.
Causticum (Thrice a day): He is terribly afraid, as if he has committed a crime and will be arrested and jailed soon.
Chamomilla (Thrice a day): Very sensitive. Very irritable and therefore suffers from this disease as a consequence.
Chloralosum (Thrice a day): Night terrors at night and in darkness. Sleeplessness.
Cicuta vir. (Thrice a day): Thinks he was living in a strange place though living in his own house. Hates friends and relatives.
Cicuta vir. (Thrice a day), Sticta pulm. (Thrice a day), Lac can. (Thrice a day): Feels himself flying in air or waking several feet above the ground.
Cimicifuga 200 (One dose daily): Mania due to suppressed neuralgia.
Cocculus ind. (Thrice a day), Coca (Thrice a day): Delusion of something rolling on the wall or floor. Tries to find it so that it cannot come on his body.
Crocus sativus 200 (One dose daily): Pleasant mania, sings and laughs, now happy and affectionate then angry. Sudden changes from hilarity to melancholy.
Cuprum acet. (Thrice a day): Wrong concept of others. Fear of attack on him. Sleeps late at night at about 2 AM. He is afraid that police has come to arrest him. Hallucinations of all kinds of figures and premises when shutting eyes and during sleep.

Cyclamen (Thrice a day), Oleander (Thrice a day): Thinks himself to be pure and all others impure. Walks away from everybody or grabs his clothes so that they do not touch the other person. Takes a fresh bath if somebody touches him. One object appears double.
Ferrum iod. (Thrice a day): Wrong concept about the length of his body. Thinks he is so tall that he can touch the roof.
Gratiola off. (Thrice a day): It is a useful remedy, especially for women, when mental troubles arise on account of suppression of hurt pride.
Helleborus (Thrice a day): Stupefied drowsiness during which he sees spirits and souls and talks to them. Cannot be aroused from the stupor despite shaking him vigorously. Sleeplessness. Confused dreams. Suspicious. After-effects of early head injuries.
Helonias (Thrice a day): Very irritable and sad. Cannot withstand the least contradiction. Patient must do something to engage the mind and is better when kept busy and mentally engaged.
Hyoscyamus nig. (Thrice a day): Suspicious, quarrelsome and obscene. Strips himself before others. Jealous. Suspects he is being poisoned, refuses to take the medicine or food. Talks to imaginary persons. Desire to remain in bed always. Very talkative. Jealous. Obscene. Foolish. Laughs at everything.
Ignatia amara 1M (One dose only): Complaints after disappointment in love or due to grief. Changeable mood. Silently brooding. Melancholic, sad and. tearful. Sighing and sobbing.
Kalium phos. 6x (Four times a day): Extreme depression. Very nervous. Anxiety. Lethargic. Does not want to meet people. Extreme lassitude. Night terrors. Loss of memory. Shy, weak and tired, causes mental and physical improvement in a wonderful way. For insomnia, use 200x potency.
Lachesis (One dose daily): Suspicious. If he sees two persons talking, he thinks that they are talking about him, tries to listen to their talks secretly. Dreams that God or angels are commanding him and he must obey. Suspects that enemies are pursuing him. Very inclined towards religion. Great loquacity. Sad in the morning. Restless and uneasy. Has no desire to mix with the world or to attend to the business.
Lilium tig. (Thrice a day): The patient is inclined to curse and become violent. Thinks of obscene things and is inclined to weep. Must keep busy; is aimless and has a hurried manner; consolation aggravates and fresh air suits sleeplessness.
Lycopodium 200 (One dose daily): Sad. Afraid to be alone. Apprehensive. Weak memory and confused thoughts. Sadness in the morning on rising. Spell or writes wrong words. Lack of confidence. Fears men, and even his own shadow.
Medorrhinum 200 (One dose only) Repeat after a week: Suspects someone talking or whispering behind her back or someone following her. Feels as if committed a sin but is not afraid of going to jail. Very selfish and hasty in manners. Hopeless of recovery. Cannot speak without weeping.
Melilotus (Thrice a day): Suspects that everybody is looking at her. Runs away from the scene.
Mercurius sol. (Thrice a day): Feels something unusual in his openings of the body, cold water in the eyes, ice ball in the ear, a vegetable plug in the throat, etc.
Mercurius cor. (Thrice a day): Mistrustful. Loss of will power. Wary of life. Desire to kill his own child. Filthy and bad smell from body and breath.
Natrium mur. 200 (One dose daily): Psychic causes on account of a disease or due to grief, fright, anger, etc. Depressed. Consolation aggravates. Wants to be alone and cry. Tears with laughter.
Natrium sulph. 1M (One dose only): Complaints due to head injury. Lively music makes him sad.
Nux mosch. (Thrice a day): Feels as if he has two heads. Feels that people are playing and stops to watch them.
Nux vomica (Thrice a day): Irritable and vindictive. Cannot bear light, noise, odors, etc. Does not want to be touched. Fond of non-vegetarian food and alcohol.
Palladium met. (Thrice a day): Thinks that he is not getting the respect he deserves while he is a fool.
Petroleum (Thrice a day): Feels another person sleeping with her in bed. Shrieks on this account.
Platinum met. (Thrice a day): Very proud of himself and feels that all others are inferior to him in wisdom, wealth and height.
Psorinum (Thrice a day): Feels head is floating and the body is on the ground, both separated.
Pulsatilla nig. 200 (One dose daily): Weeping, yielding, gentle and mild. Easily consoled and discouraged. Religious minded. Sad and weepy before menses.
Pyrogenium 200 (One dose only) Repeat once a week: Very talkative. Speaks too much and unnecessarily. Thinks he is very wealthy while he is not so.
Sabadilla (Thrice a day): Thinks herself to be pregnant while she is not. Will sleep with her legs elevated for fear of abortion.
Sepia 200 (One dose daily): Aversion to family members, even to husband and children. Lacks natural affection.
Staphysagria (Thrice a day): Insanity on account of insult and anger. Depressed without cause. Insanity from sexual sin of a forced sexual intercourse.
Stramonium (Thrice a day): Talks with spirits. Visions of. animals, black dogs, etc. Must have light and company. Sees a crowd of bedbugs pursuing him. Attempts to stab and bite. Thinks all others are smaller than him in height. Feels as if a part of his body is missing. Delivers prophecies. Claps hands. Religious mania. Wants to pray all the time. Childhood mania. Violence rising out of suppressed violence or fear of violence to him. Loquacious, ceaseless talking, laughing, singing, praying and swearing. Sensation of cockroaches crawling on the body.
Sulphur (One dose daily): Thinks he has a large sum of money in the bank or feels that a large sum of money is due to him from somebody. Untidy himself but feels very beautiful. Very selfish with no regard for others.
Tarentula his. (Thrice a day): Restlessness. Must remain in constant motion without an aim. Foxy. Destructive impulses. Becomes violent on contradiction. Very lustful. Schizophrenic patients who are very dirty in body and clothes. Sensitive to music. Wants hair brushed or head rubbed.
Thuja occ. 200 (One dose daily) For 3 days: Feels as if his soul and body were separate. Music causes weeping and trembling. As if something alive in the abdomen.
Tuberculinum 200 (One dose only): Mania. Symptoms always changing-indication of one remedy after another. Wants to roam and travel. Depressed. Fear of dogs and animals. Desire to use foul language, curse and swear. Cruel and destructive. Insomnia. Irritable especially when awakening. Nocturnal hallucinations. Awakens frightened.
Veratrum alb. (Thrice a day): Religious mania. Wants to pray all the time. Destroys tiling and tears up his clothes. Mania from childhood. Walks briskly in the room without any aim, looking upon the ground. Eats his own stool. Drinks his own urine. Licks his own perspiration. Sudden indifference. Sits in a stupid manner and does not answer. Wanders aimlessly.
Zincum met. (Thrice a day): Weak memory. Very sensitive to noise. Melancholic, lethargic and stupid. It is very useful in chronic cases when there is relief from discharges.
