Homeopathic Medicine for Tobacco Habit
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Antidotes the bad effects of chewing tobacco.
Caladium seg. (Thrice a day): Removes headaches and mental states of smokers. Tobacco heart and asthmatic complaints. Modifies and changes craving for tobacco.
Daphne ind. (Thrice a day): Use of this remedy in lower potencies takes away craving for tobacco.
Ignatia amara (Thrice a day): Antidotes the bad effects of smoking. Ignatia patient cannot bear tobacco.
Lycopodium 200 (One dose daily): It is useful in impotency of smokers.
Lycopus (Thrice a day): Helpful in palpitations and rapid heart of smokers. Reduces the heart rate of and lowers the blood pressure.
Nux vomica (One dose daily): Removes bad smell and bad taste caused by tobacco.
Phosphorus (Twice a day): Removes sexual weakness caused by tobacco.
Plantago 200 (One dose only) Repeat after 5 days: Causes an aversion to tobacco, one dose every 15 days. Removes depression and insomnia of chronic nicotinism.
Sepia (Thrice a day): Cures neuralgia and dyspepsia of smokers.
Tabacum 1000 (One dose only) Repeat after 1 week: A dose a week removes the craving for tobacco.
NOTE 1: A study of 200 male smokers was revealed in London Observer on 26-7 – 98, that smoking reduces the size of penis erection in the same way as it effects the heart by damaging the blood vessels. Smoking impairs the ability to stretch, said Dr. Clive Bates.
NOTE 2: It has been observed that babies born of women who smoke during pregnancy are sicker and have a high risk of sudden death. It is now, an established fact that many new borns of such women contain carcinogens in their body.
NOTE 3: The result of Dr. David Grond, of BritainтАЩs Leukemia Research Fund as published in the British Journal of cancer in NovemberтАЩ 99, confirmed that people who smoke are at the greatest risk of adult leukaemia. Tobacco smoke contains benzene and a radioactive lead apart from other harmful contents. Benzene in large doses is known to cause leukaemia.
NOTE 4: Dried leaves of tobacco contain nicotine, pyridine, picoline and collidin. During its combustion, various products given off have an adverse effect on the lungs.
