Homeopathic Remedies for Bronchitis
Aconitum nap. (One dose only): Hoarse, dry, croupy cough. Constant pressure in the left chest. Short and laboured breathing with stitches in the chest.
Ammonium carb. (One dose only): Chronic bronchitis in old and weak patients. Weakness is so much that he cannot raise mucus.
Antimonium iod. (One dose only): Frequent fits of cough. Yellow, thick mucus.
Antimonium tart. (One dose only): Wheezing and rattling of mucus but little is expectorated after a great effort.
Bryonia alba (One dose only): Tickling cough, worse at night. Free expectoration in the morning and worse in a warm room.
Carbo veg. (One dose only): Bronchitis of old people.
Ferrum phos. 6x (Four times a day): Bronchitis of young children who are pale and weak.
Hippozaeninum (One dose only): Bronchial asthma. Much secretion of mucus. Patient feels suffocated with mucus blocking air passages. Useful for aged patients.
Ipecacuanha (One dose only): Bronchitis of infants. Wheezy breathing with sensation of suffocation. Nausea.
Gelsemium (One dose only): Acute or chronic bronchitis. Mucus is tenacious, tough and stingy, it is difficult to raise.
Kalium hypophos. (One dose only): Chronic bronchitis.
Mullein Q (Twice a day) 10 drops in ┬╜ cup of water: Removes bronchial irritation.
Natrium ars. (One dose only): Bronchitis of children after 7 years of age and before puberty.
Phosphorus (One dose only): Cough on speaking and laughing, which is worse at night. Cough when comes is strong and it hurts the body. The patient tries to suppress it as long as possible to avoid the hurting.
Pilocarpus (One dose only): Inflammation of bronchial mucous membranes. Difficult breathing with inclination to cough. Foamy, thin and profuse saliva.
Pulsatilla nig. (One dose only): Cough worse on lying down, compels the patient to sit up.
Rhus tox. (Four times a day): Bronchial cough in old people followed by eructation of gas. Expectoration of small plugs of mucus.
Senega (One dose only): Bronchitis of old people with chronic emphysema. Exudation in pleura. Hoarseness and unsteady voice. Rattling in the chest. Soreness of the chest walls. Sensation of oppression and weight on the chest.
Squilla maritima (One dose only): Useful in chronic bronchitis of old people with dyspnea and rattling of mucus. It is also useful with similar symptoms in recent bronchitis in old people.
Terebinthiniae lx (One dose only): Chronic bronchitis.
Veratrum alb. (One dose only): Chronic bronchitis in the aged. Loud barking stomach cough followed by eructation of gas. It is worse in a warm room or on entering a warm room from cold air. Rattling of mucus in the chest but it cannot be coughed out.
