Homeopathic Remedies for Fainting
Aconitum nap.: Sudden fainting due to any cause especially when frightened.
Agaricus mus. (Thrice a day): Fainting after coition.
Alumina (Thrice a day): Fainting from compelled standing.
Ammonium carb. (Thrice a day): Fainting from depression of spirits.
Ammonium caust. 1C (Thrice a day): Fainting due to inadequate flow of blood to brain, as in case of blood clots.
Arnica mont. 1M (One dose only): Fainting on account of accidents, falls and blows. Sudden realisation of financial losses.
Asafoetida 3x (Thrice a day): Fainting of hysterical women after emissions.
Camphora (Thrice a day): Tendency to unconsciousness. Sensation as if he would die. Fainting due to a shock.
Chamomilla 200 (Twice a day): Fainting due to severe pain or after anger.
China off. (Thrice a day): Fainting due to weakness, due to loss of blood and other vital fluids.
Cocculus ind. (Thrice a day): Due to loss of sleep or riding in a carriage.
Coffea cruda (Thrice a day): Due to excessive joy.
Ferrum phos. 6x, Kalium phos. 6x (Thrice a day): 3 grains of each mixed together and administered with hot water, 3 times a day will remove tendency to fainting due to any cause.
Glonoinum 3x (Thrice a day): Due to sun stroke.
Ignatia amara (Thrice a day): Due to disturbed emotions and disappointments.
Lachesis (Twice a day): Due to jealousy, suppression of discharges and hot, stuffy air.
Moschus (Thrice a day): Fainting on a little excitement. Patients inclined to hysterical attacks.
Nux mosch. (Thrice a day): Fainting from long standing. Fainting from the sight of blood. Fainting on passing a hard stool.
Opium (Thrice a day): Fainting due to fear and fright.
Phosphorus (Twice a day): Fainting due to nervous excitement, fear and tension.
Sepia (Thrice a day): Fainting in pregnancy due to weakness. Flashes of heat.
Spigelia (Thrice a day): Fainting due to heart troubles.
Veratrum alb. (Thrice a day): Fainting on exertion with cold sweat on the forehead. Body cold and blue.
NOTE 1: Smelling of spirit ammonia or Camphora Q or Amylenum nit. Q relieves fainting. A little cotton drenched may be placed over the nose of the patient to inhale. It will cut short the fainting spell.
NOTE 2: Inhalation of the following remedies temporarily relieve fainting and bring back consciousness.
- Ammonium caistocus: In fainting due to inadequate supply of blood to the brain as in the case of blood clots, hemorrhage, snake bite, etc.
- Amylenum nitrosum: It often temporarily relieves epileptic convulsions.
- Camphora: In hysterical convulsions.
- Spirit ammonia: In all cases of fainting.
