Homeopathy For Mental Confusion – Delirium
Delirium is an altered state of consciousness, consisting of confusion, distractibility, disordered thinking and memory, defective perception, prominent hyperactivity and agitation.
Arnica mont. (Thrice a day): Delirium, with talk about death; raves at night, springs out of bed with great heat.
Agaricus mus. (Thrice a day): Makes prophecy during delirium. Although excited, he is sad. Talkative.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Delirium due to fear and anxiety when left alone.
Baptisia (Thrice a day): Delirium during diphtheria.
Belladonna (Thrice a day): Violent delirium with bloodshot eyes. Head is hot but extremities are cold. The patient tears clothes, strikes and bites.
Bufo rana (Thrice a day): Delirium during dysentery and diarrhea.
Cocculus ind. (Thrice a day): Delirium at the onset of menses.
Cuprum met. (Thrice a day): Delirium in cholera and also due to suppression of menses.
Hyoscyamus nig. (Thrice a day): Delirium from accusations, insults or jealousy and suspicion. Sings obscene songs. A mild type of delirium with no violence.
Lachesis (Thrice a day): Muttering delirium during menopause and suppression of menses. Choking sensation in the throat.
Opium (Thrice a day): Delirium due to fear of ghosts, devils and furious animals.
Stramonium (Thrice a day): Laughs incessantly without any cause. Sings and claps hands. Murmuring, appears as if talking to invisible persons and souls.
Veratrum vir. (Thrice a day): Delirium during childbirth or septic fever.
Zincum met. (Thrice a day): Delirium during high temperatures and unconsciousness. Jerking of the limbs.
NOTE: When sleep puts an end to a delirium, it is a good sign.
