Homeopathy Medicine for Dropsy
Aconitum nap. (Four times a day): Simple dropsy with fever.
Apis mel. (Thrice a day): Simple dropsy between the skin and the flesh with fever. Unabsorbed effusions after inflammation of the serous cavities. Absence of thirst. Dropsy aggravated by heat.
Apocynum can. 3x (Thrice a day): A good and general remedy for dropsy between the skin and the flesh. Dropsy with jaundice and other diseases of the liver. Abdomen distended. Digestion impaired. Dropsy aggravated by cold.
Argemone mex. (Thrice a day): Dropsy with edema, stiffness of the face and extremities, and heaviness of the eyes.
Argentum phos. (Thrice a day): Its use causes increased secretion and flow of urine, and removes its suppression.
Arsenicum alb. (Thrice a day): Dropsy after scarlatina with albumin in urine and thirst. Disorders of heart and lungs. Puffiness of the face and around the eyelids.
Arsenicum iod. 3x (Thrice a day): Dropsy due to heart diseases. Burning in gullet and stomach. Nausea. Vomiting and diarrhea.
Aurum met. (Thrice a day): Dropsy in Syphilitic patients and syphilic liver.
Cainca 3x (Thrice a day): Ascites and anasarca with urinary dysfunctions and dry skin. Polyuria. Constant desire to urinate with burning. An excellent diuretic in dropsy.
Calcarea carb. (Thrice a day): Dropsy aggravated by bathing.
Citricum acidum, Lemon juice (Four times a day): All forms of ‘dropsy’s’ are benefitted with a tablespoon full of Lemon juice mixed with an equal part of citric acid every 3-4 hours.
Digitalis (Thrice a day): Dropsy due to heart diseases. Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Urine scanty and contains albumin. Swelling of feet and genitals.
Helleborus (Thrice a day): Cerebral dropsy with sensation of depression or as an after-effect of a head injury.
Kalium carb. (Thrice a day): Dropsy of throat and lungs.
Mercurius sol. (Thrice a day): Dropsical swelling of feet and legs.
Oxydendron Q (Thrice a day) 5-10 drops in ┬╜ cup of water: Ascites and anasarca with suppressed urine. Enlargement of prostate gland.
Phaseolus (Thrice a day): Dropsy due to kidney complications and heart diseases. It increases the quantity of urine, thus reducing albumin and edema. It is a very good remedy in such circumstances.
Sambucus can. (Thrice a day): It is a valuable remedy for dropsy in lower potencies. The chief indication is edema and dropsical swellings in legs, instep, feet, etc. Profuse sweat during day only.
Serum anguillae: The use of this remedy put an end to renal obstruction and produces abundant diuresis.
Squilla maritima (Thrice a day): Acute dropsical swelling with suppression of urine.
Terebinthiniae 1x (Thrice a day): Dropsy with hemorrhage from the kidneys, congestion and other infections of the kidneys.
Tussilago fragrans (Thrice a day) Q: Abdomen swollen due to dropsy.
Uranium nit. 3x (Thrice a day): High blood pressure during dropsy, especially of the abdomen.
Vesicaria Q (Four times a day) 10-15 drops in ┬╜ cup of water: 10-15 drops in a little water is given 4 times daily for dropsy due to kidney failure to secrete urine. There will be no need to use the catheter and cure follows within a monthтАЩs time, and it removes edema due to complete failure of kidneys.
NOTE 1: The diet in dropsy should be adequate in protein, high in calories, rich in vitamins and low in salt. When diuresis (secretion of urine) appears, the patient may resume a normal diet.
NOTE 2: Dropsy may result from increased permeability of capillary walls, increased capillary pressure due to venous obstruction, lymphatic obstruction, heart failure or imbalances in renal functioning.
